Retatrutide reconstitution calculator

Vial size, bacteriostatic water and dose in — the syringe reading comes out. Defaults are the Retatrutide numbers from the Dosify Me app; change anything.

Quick answer: A 5 mg vial of Retatrutide mixed with 0.25 mL of bacteriostatic water comes to 20 mg/mL, so a 2 mg dose is 10 units (0.1 mL) on an insulin syringe.

Retatrutide at a glance

10mg vial + 0.5mL BAC water = 10 units = 2mg — Frequency: weekly — Best taken: same day each week, any time

Full Retatrutide dosing reference — reconstitution per vial size, dose-to-units table, side effects and sources.

What it does

Like other GLP-1-class drugs, retatrutide's triple-receptor action slows digestion, which can change absorption of other oral medications, including thyroid medication (levothyroxine) — dose and timing may need adjustment. Combined with insulin or a sulfonylurea, the added blood-sugar-lowering effect can cause hypoglycemia — those doses often need to be reduced first. Talk to your prescribing doctor before combining.

Notes

Listed titration schedule: weeks 1-4 2mg, weeks 5-8 4mg, weeks 9-12 6mg, weeks 13+ 8mg (standard protocol). Advanced/aggressive protocols escalate to 12mg by week 13+; these are listed schedules, not recommendations. Vial sizes up to 60mg reconstitute to 20mg/mL — 5 units always = 1mg (e.g. 60mg + 3mL BAC water, or 30mg + 1.5mL). The 100mg and 120mg options are capped at 3mL BAC water instead of diluted further, so they come out more concentrated (fewer units per dose) than smaller sizes.

Worked example for Retatrutide

  1. The example vial: 120 mg of Retatrutide, mixed with 3.00 mL of bacteriostatic water.
  2. Concentration: 120 mg ÷ 3.00 mL = 40 mg/mL.
  3. One syringe unit is 0.01 mL, so it holds 40 mg/mL × 0.01 mL = 0.4 mg (400 mcg).
  4. Example quantity: 2000 mcg = 2 mg.
  5. Volume: 2 mg ÷ 40 mg/mL = 0.05 mL.
  6. Syringe reading: 0.05 mL × 100 = 5 units.

Label numbers from the Dosify Me data, used to show the arithmetic. Not a recommendation of any quantity.

Frequently asked

How many units is 2 mg of Retatrutide?

At 20 mg/mL (the standard mix for vials up to 60 mg), 2 mg of Retatrutide is 10.0 units on a 100-unit insulin syringe (0.100 mL).

How many units is 4 mg of Retatrutide?

At 20 mg/mL (the standard mix for vials up to 60 mg), 4 mg of Retatrutide is 20.0 units on a 100-unit insulin syringe (0.200 mL).

How many units is 6 mg of Retatrutide?

At 20 mg/mL (the standard mix for vials up to 60 mg), 6 mg of Retatrutide is 30.0 units on a 100-unit insulin syringe (0.300 mL).

How much bacteriostatic water do I add to a 5 mg vial of Retatrutide?

0.25 mL, which gives 20 mg/mL. Larger vials hold at most 3 mL of water, so they are mixed more concentrated and need fewer units per dose.

How much bacteriostatic water do I add to a 10 mg vial of Retatrutide?

0.50 mL, which gives 20 mg/mL. Larger vials hold at most 3 mL of water, so they are mixed more concentrated and need fewer units per dose.

How much bacteriostatic water do I add to a 15 mg vial of Retatrutide?

0.75 mL, which gives 20 mg/mL. Larger vials hold at most 3 mL of water, so they are mixed more concentrated and need fewer units per dose.

How often is Retatrutide taken?

Weekly. Same day each week, any time of day Typical cycle: Often run continuously; tapering is done under guidance.

Is “reta” the same as Retatrutide?

Yes. “reta” is the short name people use for Retatrutide in forums and search, and every figure on this page is for that same compound. The units, water and schedule above do not change with the spelling.

About these figures

Published by San Tan Group, LLC, the company that makes the Dosify Me app. About Dosify Me

Figures come from the Dosify Me compound database for Retatrutide: concentration is the vial amount ÷ the water volume, and syringe units are the volume in mL × 100 on a U-100 syringe.
