LL-37 reconstitution calculator

Vial size, bacteriostatic water and dose in — the syringe reading comes out. Defaults are the LL-37 numbers from the Dosify Me app; change anything.

Quick answer: A 5 mg vial of LL-37 mixed with 2 mL of bacteriostatic water comes to 2.5 mg/mL, so a 100 mcg dose is 4 units (0.04 mL) on an insulin syringe.

What it does

Notes

All vial sizes reconstitute to 2.5mg/mL (25mcg/unit) so the syringe reads the same regardless of size.

Worked example for LL-37

  1. The example vial: 5 mg of LL-37, mixed with 2.00 mL of bacteriostatic water.
  2. Concentration: 5 mg ÷ 2.00 mL = 2.5 mg/mL.
  3. One syringe unit is 0.01 mL, so it holds 2.5 mg/mL × 0.01 mL = 0.025 mg (25 mcg).
  4. Example quantity: 100 mcg = 0.1 mg.
  5. Volume: 0.1 mg ÷ 2.5 mg/mL = 0.04 mL.
  6. Syringe reading: 0.04 mL × 100 = 4 units.

Frequently asked

How many units is 100 mcg of LL-37?

At 2.5 mg/mL (the concentration every vial size mixes to), 100 mcg of LL-37 is 4.0 units on a 100-unit insulin syringe (0.040 mL).

How many units is 200 mcg of LL-37?

At 2.5 mg/mL (the concentration every vial size mixes to), 200 mcg of LL-37 is 8.0 units on a 100-unit insulin syringe (0.080 mL).

How many units is 400 mcg of LL-37?

At 2.5 mg/mL (the concentration every vial size mixes to), 400 mcg of LL-37 is 16.0 units on a 100-unit insulin syringe (0.160 mL).

How much bacteriostatic water do I add to a 5 mg vial of LL-37?

2.00 mL, which gives 2.5 mg/mL. Other vial sizes use proportionally more or less water so the syringe reads the same.

How often is LL-37 taken?

Daily. Morning, fasted Typical cycle: 2 weeks on, ~1 week off; repeat 2–3×/year.

About these figures

Figures come from the Dosify Me compound database for LL-37: concentration is the vial amount ÷ the water volume, and syringe units are the volume in mL × 100 on a U-100 syringe.
