Thymosin Alpha-1

Immune System Arthritis

1.6mg vial + 1mL BAC water = 100 units = 1.6mg — Amounts listed in the Dosify Me data: 1.6mg (matches the real Zadaxin label) — Frequency: 2x weekly — Best taken: any time, non-fasted

Informational only, not medical advice. Consult a licensed healthcare provider before starting or changing any protocol.

Amounts and schedules here are listed from the Dosify Me compound data (sources below). They are not recommendations: Dosify Me does not tell you what dose to take, so follow your prescriber.

Reconstitution

Vial sizes up to 1.6 mg are mixed to 1.6 mg/mL. Larger vials hold at most 3 mL of water, so they are mixed more concentrated and need fewer units per dose.

VialBacteriostatic waterConcentration
1.6 mg1.00 mL1.6 mg/mL
5 mg*3.00 mL1.67 mg/mL
10 mg*3.00 mL3.33 mg/mL

* This size is conventionally mixed more concentrated rather than diluted further — fewer units per dose than smaller vials of this peptide.

Dose to syringe units

On a standard 100-unit (1 mL) insulin syringe, for vials mixed to 1.6 mg/mL (sizes marked * are more concentrated and need fewer units):

DoseSyringe units
1.6 mg100.0 units

Amounts listed in the Dosify Me data: 1600–1600 mcg. Frequency: 2x weekly. Timing: any time, non-fasted.

The real Zadaxin label mixes to 1.6mg/mL and injects the full amount — a larger single-injection volume than most other peptides here, but that matches the actual product (100 units, twice weekly). The 5mg and 10mg compounded-vial options are capped at 3mL BAC water instead of diluted further, so they come out more concentrated (fewer units per dose) than the real single-dose vial.

Reading units for Thymosin Alpha-1

Check one row of the table above: 1600 mcg is 1.6 mg; 1.6 mg ÷ 1.6 mg/mL = 1 mL; 1 mL × 100 = 100 units.

What users report

Anecdotal and early-research reports, kept apart from the evidence above. Not clinically established.

Side effects

Medication caution

Boosts T-cell/immune activity, which works directly against deliberate immunosuppression. Considered contraindicated for organ transplant recipients on anti-rejection medication, and combining it with other immunosuppressants (biologics, calcineurin inhibitors) is unstudied and should only happen under specialist supervision. Anyone on immunosuppressive therapy should talk to that prescriber before use.

Frequently asked

How many units is 1.6 mg of Thymosin Alpha-1?

At 1.6 mg/mL (the standard mix for vials up to 1.6 mg), 1.6 mg of Thymosin Alpha-1 is 100.0 units on a 100-unit insulin syringe (1.000 mL).

How much bacteriostatic water do I add to a 1.6 mg vial of Thymosin Alpha-1?

1.00 mL, which gives 1.6 mg/mL. Larger vials hold at most 3 mL of water, so they are mixed more concentrated and need fewer units per dose.

How much bacteriostatic water do I add to a 5 mg vial of Thymosin Alpha-1?

3.00 mL, which gives 1.67 mg/mL. This size holds at most 3 mL of water, so it is mixed more concentrated and the same dose is fewer units than from a smaller vial.

How much bacteriostatic water do I add to a 10 mg vial of Thymosin Alpha-1?

3.00 mL, which gives 3.33 mg/mL. This size holds at most 3 mL of water, so it is mixed more concentrated and the same dose is fewer units than from a smaller vial.

How often is Thymosin Alpha-1 taken?

2x weekly. Any time, non-fasted Typical cycle: Labelled course: 6–12 months twice weekly; many community protocols run 8–16 weeks.

About these figures

Published by San Tan Group, LLC, the company that makes the Dosify Me app. About Dosify Me

Figures come from the Dosify Me compound database for Thymosin Alpha-1: concentration is the vial amount ÷ the water volume, and syringe units are the volume in mL × 100 on a U-100 syringe.
